Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "What Shall I Give Unto The Lord" - 10/16/16

What Shall I Give Unto The Lord

Scriptures

1 Samuel 13:14
14 But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.

Psalms 116:12-13
12 What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?
13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.

John 15:13
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

John 14:15
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Psalms 116:14
I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people.

Main Points

I will give myself and receive His salvation.

We should love Him.

We should love Him because He has expressed His great love for us.

Do you love Him?

To give of yourself] your time, worship, and praise.

To always be faithful.

Sunday with Pastor Henderson - "Be Ready to Fight" - 10/2/16

Scriptures

Ephesians 6:10-13
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Main Points

If you don't obey God, you are incapable of fighting.

God will tell you what to do, but you have to listen to Him.

How are you going to win the fight if you can't hear what he says and obey his Word?

If you don't pray or read the Word of God and don't come to church, you don't stand a chance against the enemy.

The enemy is stronger than you alone. That's why the Word of God has to be your foundation. Otherwise you will not be able to stand.

We need to stop paying so much attention to the world and turn our attention towards God.

The reason you will fail is because of you. It's up to you to stay with God.

The devil will always be the devil.  It isn't going to be his fault. It will be yours because you didn't make up your mind to obey God.

The devil will have his way with you.  So unless you put your guard up and focus every day on getting closer to God, you will not make it.

You need to make God your everything. Then and only then will you be able to stand up to the enemy. It starts with coming to church faithfully!

Suday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "Stay In Him" - 9/25/16

Scriptures

John 15:1-7

1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every [branch] that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Main Points

The answer to life's problems and goals lies in a proper reverance for God who is perfect in all his being and actions.
We need to not just confess God, but to surrender everything to Him by letting him truly be God in every area of our life.
Stay in Him and he can help you.
But if you separate from Him, then you are on your own.

Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "God's Divine Preparation" - 9/18/16

God's Divine Preparation - 9/18/16

Scriptures

1 Corinthians 10:13
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

1 Corinthians 2:9
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Isaiah 64:4
4 For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.

Psalms 23:5
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Psalms 31:19
19 Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!

Matthew 22:1-5
1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,
2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise.

Matthew 25:34
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

John 14:2-3
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Main Points
  • Overflowing Blessings
  • Spiritual Feast
  • Glorious Inheritance
  • Heavenly Home

God already has a path written for you, but if you choose not to follow him, you will never see the end of it.
In order to go down God's path, you have to obey Him.
You write your own life story when you go off on your own.
You can either walk with Him, or without Him. It's your choice.

Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "Keep His Commandments" - 9/4/16

Scriptures

John 14:15
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

1 John 2:3-4
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

John 8:31-32
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Deuteronomy 6:5
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Mark 12:30
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

1 John 5:3
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

2 Kings 13:14-25
14 Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died. And Joash the king of Israel came down unto him, and wept over his face, and said, O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof.
15 And Elisha said unto him, Take bow and arrows. And he took unto him bow and arrows.
16 And he said to the king of Israel, Put thine hand upon the bow. And he put his hand upon it: and Elisha put his hands upon the king's hands.
17 And he said, Open the window eastward. And he opened it. Then Elisha said, Shoot. And he shot. And he said, The arrow of the Lord's deliverance, and the arrow of deliverance from Syria: for thou shalt smite the Syrians in Aphek, till thou have consumed them.
18 And he said, Take the arrows. And he took them. And he said unto the king of Israel, Smite upon the ground. And he smote thrice, and stayed.
19 And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed it: whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice.
20 And Elisha died, and they buried him. And the bands of the Moabites invaded the land at the coming in of the year.
21 And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet.
22 But Hazael king of Syria oppressed Israel all the days of Jehoahaz.
23 And the Lord was gracious unto them, and had compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet.
24 So Hazael king of Syria died; and Benhadad his son reigned in his stead.
25 And Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz took again out of the hand of Benhadad the son of Hazael the cities, which he had taken out of the hand of Jehoahaz his father by war. Three times did Joash beat him, and recovered the cities of Israel.

1 John 2:5
But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

Main Points

A half-hearted effort will not bring you complete victory.

If you listen to what the Man of God says, you can be delivered for the rest of your life.

Don't worry about pleasing others. Please God; and you will be blessed.

Keep his commandments!

Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "We Are Living in a Desperate Time" - 8/28/16

We Are Living in a Desperate Time

Scriptures

2 Timothy 1:6
Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

Mark 2:1-12
And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.
And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.
And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.
And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.
When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
But there was certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?
And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?
Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?
10 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)
11 I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.
12 And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

Matthew 15:22-28
22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

Main Points

Desperate times mean desperate actions.

We need to have the mindset that we don't care what anyone else says: I'm going to Heaven no matter what. For we do not care what anyone thinks. We won't let anything stop us. We will do desperate things. For we will gladly give up dignity for an encounter with Jesus.

Desperation is saying that God can do it. When you don't see a way, but you put all your faith in God.

When you fully rely and trust in God, that is desperation.

When you will do anything God says: Whatever your will is Lord, I will go.

Being desperate is staying faithful to God, no matter what the situation will be.  Trusting that God will deliver you and take of you until the end. When you turn to him for help instead of relying on your own understanding or the understanding of the world.

You have to have a deep commitment.

Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "Fight for the Faith" - 8/14/16

Fight for the Faith

Scriptures

Jude 1:1-5
1  Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:
2  Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.
3  Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
4  For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
5  I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

Main Points

1. Challenge - Be ready to fight for what you believe in.
- The way you are willing to fight for your worldly possessions should be the same, if not greater, than the way you should fight for your faith in Jesus Christ.

2. Consequences - If you don't contend for the Word of God, you will fall for anything.

3. Characteristics - You can't live for God any old way, you have to obey the Word of God.

Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "An Unshakeable Kingdom" - 8/7/16

An Unshakeable Kingdom

Scriptures

Hebrews 12:24-28
24  And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
25  See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:26  Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
27  And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
28  Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
29  For our God is a consuming fire.

Main Points

Never lose your praise.

If you're sick, praise God, if you're broken down, praise God. Praise God anyways!

The world is shaky in these last days.  Many things are falling away and being destroyed.

But you don't have to be! If you worship, glorify and praise God, you will keep your faith unshakeable!

We are blessed because he has called us out of darkness and into his marvelous light!

Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "Do This to Stay Close to God" - 7/31/16

Do This to Stay Close to God

Scriptures

Psalms 26:1-2
1  Judge me, O Lord; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the Lord; therefore I shall not slide.
2  Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.

2 Corinthians 13:5
5  Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

Hebrews 3:12-13
12  Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
13  But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

1 John 1:9
9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Revelation 22:14
14  Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

1 Chronicles 28:9
9  And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

Proverbs 4:13
13  Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.

Main Points

1. Judge Me - test me to see if I'm right or wrong. If I'm wrong help me correct it.
- Is my heart right? Are my thoughts right?

2. Examine your faith in life regularly.

- Just like when bills are put under a black light to see if it's counterfeit, your faith will be tested.  If you don't pass, you are counterfeit. Your walk with God is fake. That's why you need to pray and read your word everyday. Otherwise your walk with God will fail.

3. Come to God daily for forgiveness and cleansing.

4. Love God with all your heart. Love your neighbor as you love yourself.

5. Continue daily seeking the Lord with your whole heart.
- God is awesome. There is none like him.  We should want to be with him and talk to him as much as we can.

6. Stay in the Word of God: keep studying and learning daily.
- The Holy Ghost will lead you and guide you. You have to follow it.

7. Stay in fellowship often with other believers. You can't make it alone as a Christian. We need the strength and prayers of other believers.

Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "A Season To Get Things Right " - 7/17/16

A Season To Get Things Right

Scriptures

Ecclesiastes 3:1-6
1  To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2  A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3  A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4  A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5  A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6  A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

2 Timothy 4:2
2  Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

James 4:11-17
11  Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
12  There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
13  Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
14  Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
15  For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
16  But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.
17  Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Philippians 4:11-13
11  Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
12  I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13  I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Philippians 4:8-9
8  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
9  Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Main Points

God's faithfulness to us never changes.  His seasons do.

This is the season that God wants to bless you. But he can't bless you when you aren't doing things right.

Lift up clean hands and he will bless you.  He can't bless you when you have one clean hand and one dirty hand.

You have to cleanse yourself daily from the sins of this world.

We may not make it another day. The season is now!

Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "The Word is a Blessing to Those Who Reverence It" - 7/10/16

The Word is a Blessing to Those Who Reverence It

Scriptures

Joshua 24:15
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Joshua 1:8
8  This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Pslams 19:8-14
8  The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9  The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
10  More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11  Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
12  Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.
13  Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
14  Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

Matthew 7:24-26
24  Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26  And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Luke 11:28-30
28  But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
29  And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.
30  For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.

John 5:24
24  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

John 8:31-32
31  Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Revalation 1:3
3  Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Acts 2:38
38  Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Main Points

If you're going to fight off the world in this day and age, you need to know the Word of God.

You have to use scripture to fight the devil because there is power in the Word of God.

By keeping his Word you will find your victory.

Have you repented from your old ways? You need to repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand!

If you don't know God's Word, then you don't know the truth. And if you don't know the truth, then how can you be free?

It sounds simple, but if you don't know God's Word, then you don't stand a chance.

Read the Word of God and hide it in your heart. Obey it!

Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - 7/3/16 - "Making A Commitment"

Making A Commitment

Scriptures

Malachi 3:6
6  For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Hebrew 13:7-9
7  Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
8  Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
9  Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

Deuteronomy 13:1-13
1  If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
2  And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
3  Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
4  Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
5  And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the Lord your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the Lord thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.
6  If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;
7  Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;
8  Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:
9  But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
10  And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
11  And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is among you.
12  If thou shalt hear say in one of thy cities, which the Lord thy God hath given thee to dwell there, saying,
13  Certain men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known;
14  Then shalt thou enquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and, behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought among you;
15  Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword.
16  And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street thereof, and shalt burn with fire the city, and all the spoil thereof every whit, for the Lord thy God: and it shall be an heap for ever; it shall not be built again.
17  And there shall cleave nought of the cursed thing to thine hand: that the Lord may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and shew thee mercy, and have compassion upon thee, and multiply thee, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers;

Main Points

If there are things that are leading you away from Christ, DO NOT FOLLOW THEM.

Where is your commitment?

If you are not committed to God, then you are committed to the devil.

When you stop living for God, you are heading right into a wreck. And it won't be a beautiful site.  So it is better to STAY in the boat! Stay in the WORD of God!

Burn every single thing in your heart that is keeping you away from completely living for Christ!

You need to shake yourself once in a while and realize that you might be swerving away from God and that you need to get back on track.

Love God with all your heart, all your mind, and all your soul.  Make a commitment to God with all your heart, all your mind, and all your soul.

Be consistent with praying, loving your neighbor, coming to church, reading your word... If you can't be consistent then you won't solidify your commitment!

Make a commitment! Keep it! Complete it!

Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "Set Your House In Order" - 6/19/16

Set Your House In Order

Scriptures

2 Kings 20:1-11
1  In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.
2  Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the Lord, saying,
3  I beseech thee, O Lord, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.
4  And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the Lord came to him, saying,
5  Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I hhttps://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=5315603197505382386#editor/target=post;postID=6578489366919663216ave seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the Lord.
6  And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.
7  And Isaiah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.
8  And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign that the Lord will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the Lord the third day?
9  And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the Lord, that the Lord will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees?
10  And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees.
11  And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the Lord: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.

2 Kings 18:1-7
1  Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign.
2  Twenty and five years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Abi, the daughter of Zachariah.
3  And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that David his father did.
4  He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan.
5  He trusted in the Lord God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.
6  For he clave to the Lord, and departed not from following him, but kept his commandments, which the Lord commanded Moses.
7  And the Lord was with him; and he prospered whithersoever he went forth: and he rebelled against the king of Assyria, and served him not.

Main Points

You need to let go of the stuff that is hindering you from living for God.

You need to be faithful in everything. Always faithful. Continuously and withholding nothing.

This might be the last service we are ever in. The time is getting close. We need to be ready to go.

If you don't come to God's house, you'll miss out.

If you refuse to be like the world, you will be successful in God!

Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "Stand" - 5/29/16

Stand

Scriptures

Psalms 34:8
8  O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

Proverbs 23:23
23  Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

1st Corinthians 15:58
58  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

1st Corinthians 16:13
13  Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

Ephesians 6:14
14  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

Main Points

Before you can sand for something you must believe in it.

How do you taste the Lord? By reading his Word daily! Do some research in the Bible!

God is an afterthought to this world.

You might look like a Christian, but if you are not reading the word of God, you are denying the power of God.

You might look like a Christian, but you don't have the tools to prove it.

God has already given us the victory. Too many Christians know the beginning of the Bible and the end of the Bible, but what about what's in between?  If you don't practice what the Word of God says to do, you won't make it to the end.

You can't change the past, so focus on the future! Change your thinking today! You can do better today than you did yesterday!

Keep on keeping on! Don't give up! Sell out! Give God everything: your mind, your heart, your soul! Stand!

Thursday Night with Bro. Jonathan Moreno - "Do We Really Love God?" - 5/26/16

 Do We Really Love God

Scriptures

1st Cor 2:1-5
And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

1st Cor 7:35
And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.

Mark 4:19
19  And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

Psalms 139:23-24
23  Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
24  And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

1 Cor 15:31
31  I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

Matthew 26:39-40

39  And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
40  And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?

Main Points

Don't let the distractions of this world alter your path from living for God.

You've got to sell out to God.

Listen to God as he perfects you, have him search you and tell you what you need to fix in order to live for him!

If we really loved him, we would pray to him everyday and make him our everything.

We would listen to what he says to do!

Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "How To Follow God" - 5/22/16

How To Follow God

Scriptures

Psalms 32:8-9
8  I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
9  Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.

Matthew 14:23
23  And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

Mark 1:35
35  And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

Luke 5:16
16  And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.

Luke 6:12
12  And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

Luke 22:39-42
39  And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.
40  And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.
41  And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,
42  Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
43  And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
44  And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
45  And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,
46  And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.

Deuteronomy 6:4-9
4  Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:
5  And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
6  And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
7  And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
8  And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
9  And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

Ephesians 6:1-3
1  Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2  Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
3  That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

Colossians 3:22-23
22  Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:
23  And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

Main Points

- Pray -- every day, every morning. Pray that you can resist temptation, resist the devil, that you can love one another...

-"Not my will, but thine be done" --  Write this down somewhere so you will see it everyday and remember to pray

- Love the Lord with all your heart.  If you love the Lord, then you would pray to him everyday.  If you can't do this, then how are you going to be able to love thy neighbor as thyself? And furthermore, how will you keep all the rest of the commandments?

- If you do not obey the Bible, you are not going to go to Heaven.  It didn't say some, it said ALL things.  Mercy will not cover you; obedience will.

- When you don't pray you are betraying Jesus.

- Prayer and obedience go hand in hand.  If you don't pray, then you are definitely not going to obey.
If you don't pray, you will not be in obedience with the Word of God and you will not be in obedience with the man of God.

- Pray so that you can obey.  Pray for God to help you pray more and more. You won't get anything if you don't talk to God.

- As long as you are IN the church you will be blessed.  The day you leave the church, your blessing will leave as well.

- Living as a Christian is a job. It is not just a hobby or an interest.  We are supposed to be ambassadors for Christ representing him in ALL we do!

- If you are not all together at home or at your job, then how are you going to act in the church? You are the same person. You can't hide from God.

- How you act wherever you are is a representation of who you are.

- You are in an interview for God 24/7. This is your interview on Earth to see if you are worthy for the job in Heaven. So you need to be on you best behavior 24/7.

- Be honest with yourself.

- Do things unto God, not to please others.

- Make up your mind to Live for God.  Commit to it.  It's a miserable life to have one foot in, one foot out.  Pick one or the other.  Make the right choice; follow Jesus!

Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "The Natural Man" - 5/1/16

The Natural Man

Scriptures

Isaiah 55:8-9
8  For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
9  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Galations 5:16-21
16  This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17  For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18  But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19  Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20  Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21  Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

1 Corinthians 2:14
14  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

John 3:5-6
5  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Jeremiah 17:9-10
9  The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
10  I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Ephesians 2:1-2
1  And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2  Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Main Points

If you don't pray you will do everything that the flesh wants to do.

Sin and condemnation keep you from meeting God like you are supposed to.

You need to get rid of the natural man by being born again of the water and the spirit.

Seek Jesus as your savior!

Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "Seven Things God Hates" - 4/24/16

Seven Things God Hates

Scriptures

Malachi 3:6
For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Proverbs 6:18-19
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

1 John 2:16
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Psalms 10:4
The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.

1 Peter 5:5
Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

John 8:44
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

 Rev 22:14-16
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

Deuteronomy 19:10
10 That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.

Matthew 27:3
Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,

Esther 9:25-26
25 But when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.26 Wherefore they called these days Purim after the name of Pur. Therefore for all the words of this letter, and of that which they had seen concerning this matter, and which had come unto them,

Proverbs 4:2020 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

2 Thessolonians 3:11
11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

Romans 16:17
17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "How To Be Saved" - 4/10/16

How To Be Saved

Scriptures

John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Matthew 16:13-19
13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

 Acts 1:4-17
And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.
13 And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.
14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)
16 Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.
17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.

Acts 2:14
But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

Acts 2:36-42
36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Main Points

As Christians, sometimes we are asleep at the wheel and don't even know it; heading for a big collision. We need to wake up before it's too late.

Church shouldn't be something we go to, it should be something we belong to. We are ambassadors of our church and of Christ and we need to act like it.

You need the Holy Ghost and you need to be baptized in Jesus Name!

Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "Dont' Stop Praying' - 3/13/16

Don't Stop Praying

Scriptures

Romans 13:11
11  And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

1 Chronicles 16:11
11  Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually.

Hosea 14:1-3
1  O Israel, return unto the Lord thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.
2  Take with you words, and turn to the Lord: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.
3  Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.

Matthew 26:41
41  Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Mark 13:32-34
32  But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
33  Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
34  For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

Main Points

Seek God like you seek food.

How much did you pray when you first came to God?
And how much do spend now?

Prayer is like a cup of coffee.  You need prayer to wake up the spirit.  Then, like you stir up your coffee, you need to stir up your spirit.

Sunday Evening with Bro. Platania - "The Other Son" - 3/6/16

Audio File:  The Other Son

Scriptures

Luke 15:25
25  Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.
26  And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.
27  And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.
28  And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.
29  And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
30  But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.
31  And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.
32  It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

Main Points

God can give you back your life, your identity, your future.

You have to celebrate righteousness and faithfulness.

If your friends don't want to come to church, don't want to live for God, don't follow them. Stay in the house.

It's not about them, it's about your father's house. It's about you and your future.

God said everything that is mine, is yours.

Sunday Morning with Bro. Platania - "You and The Crowd" - 3/6/16

Audio File:  You and The Crowd

Scriptures

Exodus 23:2
2  Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:

Main Points

The strongest force of nature is Jesus Christ.
You can't change anything around you until God changes you.

When God changes you, you will change everything around you.

When you see crowds in the Bible, you see people who were influenced by those around them, a lot of times pertaining to life and death.

The crowd can affect your mind and your ability to make good decisions.

For example, when it came to Jesus and Parabus.
The crowd was blinded by the general thought to crucify a man who had done nothing wrong and free a criminal.

What you decide to do with your life can be influenced by the crowd. When it comes to living for Jesus, the crowd may influence you to steer a different way. It's easy to do what everyone else is doing.

If you have a choice today to choose between Parabus and Jesus; life and death; you cannot let the crowd influence you to do what they are doing. You need to make up your mind on your own to pick life, pick Jesus.

A crowd cam hold you back.  If you need something from Jesus don't let the crowd hold you back. You need go to the alter, fight to the front, whatever you have to do to get to Jesus. You have to get desperate.

Don't worry about what others are going to think about you. People are too busy with their own issues to worry about yours. You need to step out and go for Jesus no matter what.

Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "Surrender to God" - 2/28/16

Surrender to God

Scriptures

James 1:17
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Jerimiah 10:23
23 O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

Philippians 4:13
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

John 12:26
26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

Main Points

Worship is a time when we pay deep, sincere, awesome respect, love, and fear to the one who created us.

Surrender means to yield ownership, to relinquish control over what we consider "ours".

When we surrender to God we are acknowledging that what we "own" actually belongs to Him.

He is the giver of all good things.

We are responsible to care for what God has given us, as stewards of his property, but by surrendering to God. we admit that he is in control of everything.

By surrendering to God, we let go of whatever has kept us from wanting God's ways first.

You have to be a servant.

Sunday Morning with Bro. Paschal - "The Word Must Go On" - 2/21/16

Bro. Paschal - The Word Must Go On

Scriptures

1 Corinthians 15:57-58
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 9:9-14
For it is written in the law of Moses, thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?
10 Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.
11 If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?
12 If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.
13 Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?
14 Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.

Main Points

"Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel."

Don't worry about the enemy, God already has them under control.

God uses your adversary to make you better.

Always abound in the Work of the Lord.

God has a plan.

When you identify your Man of God and the anointing God has placed on his life, you will see the vision God has given him.

God has given you a visionary.

Don't allow yourself to be so cynical that you miss out on an avenue for help.

Faith without works is dead!

Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "Keep" - 2/7/16

Keep

Scriptures

Proverbs 7:1-2
1  My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.
2  Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.

Proverbs 3:1-7
1  My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
2  For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
3  Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
4  So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
5  Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7  Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

Proverbs 14:12
12  There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Ephesians 3:14-17
14  For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15  Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16  That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17  That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18  May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

Proverbs 3:16
16  Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.
17  Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
18  She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.

Main Points

If you choose not to keep what you got today, it's on you.

Fear God and keep His commandments!

If you keep His commandments and do what's right, you will be blessed.

If you choose not to you will be rich/poor and miserable.

If you follow his commandments you will have wisdom; which will lead to honor, pleasure, wealth and security!

Those that become wise will be happy!

Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "Is Your Love for God Sincere?" - 1/31/16

Is Your Love for God Sincere?

Scriptures

Jeremiah 17:9
9  The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Jeremiah 20:12
12  But, O Lord of hosts, that triest the righteous, and seest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I opened my cause.

Job 1:6
6  Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.

Gen 22:2
2  And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

Main Points

Testing is a normal part of righteous living.

Experiencing trials shouldn't be unusual for believers. All righteous people are tested from time to time by the One who created them.

The Lord already knows our hearts.

He uses tests to reveal to us our priorities so we can adjust them if necessary.

Your actions determine your love for God.

Sunday Morning with Elder Moreno - " When the Dust is Cleared and the Air is Settled" - 1/24/16

When the Dust is Cleared and the Air is Settled

Scriptures

1 Samuel 5:1-5
1  And the Philistines took the ark of God, and brought it from Eben–ezer unto Ashdod.
2  When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon.
3  And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the Lord. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again.
4  And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the Lord; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him.
5  Therefore neither the priests of Dagon, nor any that come into Dagon's house, tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod unto this day.

Hebrews 12:1
1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Main points

God is heavy on obedience and doing it His way.

The world can put whatever they want before God, but it will not detour him.

God cannot be defeated.

God is all powerful and cannot be overtaken.

The joy of the Lord is our strength.

Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "Deception" - 1/17/16

Deception

Scriptures

Proverbs 23:23
23  Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

Ephesians 6:11
11  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

John 8:44
44  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

1 Corinthians 10:12
12  Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

1 Kings 13:1-18
1  And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the Lord unto Beth–el: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.
2  And he cried against the altar in the word of the Lord, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the Lord; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee.
3  And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This is the sign which the Lord hath spoken; Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out.
4  And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Beth–el, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him.
5  The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the Lord.
6  And the king answered and said unto the man of God, Intreat now the face of the Lord thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again. And the man of God besought the Lord, and the king's hand was restored him again, and became as it was before.
7  And the king said unto the man of God, Come home with me, and refresh thyself, and I will give thee a reward.
8  And the man of God said unto the king, If thou wilt give me half thine house, I will not go in with thee, neither will I eat bread nor drink water in this place:
9  For so was it charged me by the word of the Lord, saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest.
10  So he went another way, and returned not by the way that he came to Beth–el.
11  Now there dwelt an old prophet in Beth–el; and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Beth–el: the words which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father.
12  And their father said unto them, What way went he? For his sons had seen what way the man of God went, which came from Judah.
13  And he said unto his sons, Saddle me the ass. So they saddled him the ass: and he rode thereon,
14  And went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak: and he said unto him, Art thou the man of God that camest from Judah? And he said, I am.
15  Then he said unto him, Come home with me, and eat bread.
16  And he said, I may not return with thee, nor go in with thee: neither will I eat bread nor drink water with thee in this place:
17  For it was said to me by the word of the Lord, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou camest.
18  He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the Lord, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.
19  So he went back with him, and did eat bread in his house, and drank water.
20  And it came to pass, as they sat at the table, that the word of the Lord came unto the prophet that brought him back:
21  And he cried unto the man of God that came from Judah, saying, Thus saith the Lord, Forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the Lord, and hast not kept the commandment which the Lord thy God commanded thee,
22  But camest back, and hast eaten bread and drunk water in the place, of the which the Lord did say to thee, Eat no bread, and drink no water; thy carcase shall not come unto the sepulchre of thy fathers.
23  And it came to pass, after he had eaten bread, and after he had drunk, that he saddled for him the ass, to wit, for the prophet whom he had brought back.
24  And when he was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slew him: and his carcase was cast in the way, and the ass stood by it, the lion also stood by the carcase.
25  And, behold, men passed by, and saw the carcase cast in the way, and the lion standing by the carcase: and they came and told it in the city where the old prophet dwelt.
26  And when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard thereof, he said, It is the man of God, who was disobedient unto the word of the Lord: therefore the Lord hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn him, and slain him, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake unto him.
27  And he spake to his sons, saying, Saddle me the ass. And they saddled him.
28  And he went and found his carcase cast in the way, and the ass and the lion standing by the carcase: the lion had not eaten the carcase, nor torn the ass.
29  And the prophet took up the carcase of the man of God, and laid it upon the ass, and brought it back: and the old prophet came to the city, to mourn and to bury him.
30  And he laid his carcase in his own grave; and they mourned over him, saying, Alas, my brother!
31  And it came to pass, after he had buried him, that he spake to his sons, saying, When I am dead, then bury me in the sepulchre wherein the man of God is buried; lay my bones beside his bones:
32  For the saying which he cried by the word of the Lord against the altar in Beth–el, and against all the houses of the high places which are in the cities of Samaria, shall surely come to pass.
33  After this thing Jeroboam returned not from his evil way, but made again of the lowest of the people priests of the high places: whosoever would, he consecrated him, and he became one of the priests of the high places.
34  And this thing became sin unto the house of Jeroboam, even to cut it off, and to destroy it from off the face of the earth.

Main Points

Deception - to make a person believe what is not true - to delude - to mislead to deceive means - deliberate misrepresentation of facts by words or actions

When things get rough we tend to go back to the same mess that we came from.  Instead, we need to "Touch not the unclean thing."

How can we taste the things of God and run back to the things of the devil?

Everything is based on the Word of the Lord. It's not in what man might say, it's in what is written.

Just because you are sitting in God's house doesn't mean you're saved.  You need to be listening to the right voices.
