Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "Perseverance Unto the End" - 5/31/15

Perseverance Unto the End

Scriptures

Proverbs 2:1-8

1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.
For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.

Psalms 57:7
My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.

Psalms 94:14
14 For the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

Psalms 97:10
10 Ye that love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

John 8:31-32
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 10:27-29
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

John 15:9
As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

Main Points

The way you eat everyday is how you should be reading the Word everyday!

His Word is life, joy, and peace.  And will lead to everlasting life.

When's the last time you've said "God I love you" when you weren't in trouble or didn't need something?

The way a dog chases his tail is the same way we chase things in life that we're never going to get.

You can make time for the world, but you can't make time for God.

You pluck yourself out of your Father's hand.

You are going to go through rough times.  When those times come will you be able to continue and live for God?

When the world comes to the end is your name going to be found in the Lamb's Book of Life?
