Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "Your Decision" - 1/29/17

Scriptures

Ecclesiastes 1:9-10
9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
10 Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.

Ecclesiastes 1:13-14
13 And I gave my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all things that are done under heaven: this sore travail hath God given to the sons of man to be exercised therewith.
14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit.

Romans 5:8
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

1 John 3:1
1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Main Points

It's your decision to give your life to God.

To realize that he loves you.

To go back out and commit the same sins you have been commiting.

For every decision there is a consequence.

You need to decide to live for God.

To get rid of yourself so that Jesus can live inside of you.

Every day we decide who we will serve.

Sunday Morning with Pastor Henderson - "Actions of a Faithful Saint of God" - 1/15/17

Actions of a Faithful Saint of God

Scriptures

Matthew 25:21
21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Matthew 26:41
41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

1 Timothy 2:1-2
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

Jude 1:20
20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

Main Points

Action:
1. the process or state of acting or of being active
2. something done or performed; act; deed

Faithful:
1. strict or thorough in the performance of duty:
2. true to one's word, promises, vows, etc.

A faithful person is someone who makes a promise and keeps it.

You have to pray every morning.
If you don't pray you will not make it.

You have to faithfully attend church.
There is no reason you shouldn't be in God's house unless you're sick or dead.

You can't be a lazy saint. You have to be active.
